Project Life Cycle

As an implementation service provider, projects are the lifeblood of Thought IT's business. On this page we detail our project delivery offering, covering our approach, methodology, project management, and our contribution to various stages in the Project Life Cycle.

Our approach to project work reflects our core focus and dedication to customer service. There are three aspects of our offering that we believe combine to provide a unique project consulting service in the finance systems arena.

Firstly, as you would expect, we bring a mix of project management, systems skills, business knowledge and implementation experience to your project. Secondly, we apply a level of flexibility, pragmatism and dedication that we believe are unmatched in the industry. And thirdly, we have genuine, practical belief in partnership. We believe that a successful project requires that we work closely and interactively with you, regardless of the mix of client and consulting resources.

We employ a flexible project management methodology, based on PRINCE 2, ensuring consistently high standards, and focusing on realistic deliverables. The aim is to provide the tools required to successfully manage the project. Of course, if your organisation adheres to specific methodologies, we are happy to comply with these and to gear our work and outputs accordingly.

Looking in detail at the Project Life Cycle, we recognise the following key elements and stages. You may also wish to consider the pre-project areas that we have covered in our Strategy section.

In addition, we cover Support and Training as separate activities, although these would also be a part of most project deliverables
